上海 Shanghai,

Mikes wedding
Mikes marriage and drinking with British
On October the 18th I was invited to Mikes wedding party, he is a coworker. Was interesting to see a Chinese one, yet I couldn’t compare as I have never been to any wedding party before. Afterwards I went with Peter&Paul, two British guys who came for a week for business, to the Shamrock Bar.

Team Building Buyout -- 01/11/08

We first got these Army dresses to cover our clothes, and get a more unity feeling, I guess also to be not so sensitive about getting mud on you. Then we were divided into three groups…had to decide group leader, name.. then we had to fulfill several tasks. Furthermore we had to perform the thing were you build up a circle and sit on the knee of the person behind you, whereas the person in front of you sits on yours.
Task One was what I ever wanted to do. It was the thing where you fall back and other ppl catch you. Was a quite strange, but yet interesting feeling.
Task Two was to cross a lake on a steel cable., whereby the cable was shaken by others.
Task Three was to climb a pole, then get on the tiny platform on top of that pole, and after that to jump and grab a metal bar. It was no problem for me to get on top of the platform… but after I straightened up and was standing upright, my legs hit the eigenfrequency of the pole and everything except my upper body started to shake more and more…. Conclusively I though I would never get that stopped…so I jumped before the resonanz get me down. I easily grabbed the bar, as it wasn’t far. Lucky I did so…. As I was only afraid of somehow falling down, not because of the falling itself, because of the belt I was wearing….and that it might could hurt somewhere low.
The Fourth task was one with all three groups together…. We had to get over a wooden wall together… was really fun…

After all I had lot of fun…. spent so more time with my coworkers…

Shanghai - F1 19/10/08
As
But quite frankly the race itself wasn’t that exiting…. in our curve we didn’t saw any interesting actions…. Except from the Porsch Asia race….. But Formular 1 was interesting though…the sound from the engines was amazing…. Really loud and powerful, luckily I had purchased some earplugs before.
The way to the racetrack was quite various… first taxi to the train station, then the fast train to Shanghai 1:18 there we gathered with my new friends from lawn&garden, Paul and Peter who got the most expensive tickets for the race…but for less price coz someone made a mistake…..then we took the subway to the stadium ( here also the group dividing started…arrg) [some always need there own way, best is keep to your self]……from the stadium was a shuttlebus service to the track… we took the same way back…. Anyway all I now remember what is to say…. For more details feel free to ask
Ah, here some information about the track...: it has the shape as the Chinese sign 上 “shang” from

Sanya –

Hey….. I used 2 of my vacation days to spend 4 days on Hainan in Sanya.
Hainan is a Chinese island south of Hongkong, which is considered to be the “Chinese Hawaii”.
The beach, weather and sea have been great…. furthermore I got sunburn due to the clear sky.
Two days were spent at the DaDongHai area one at YalongBay and one day for a trip in the rainforest on Hainan.
In DaDongHai where the hotels were located many have been many Russians, so I was many times mistaken for a Russian and Chinese people started speaking Russian to me. They seems to be very surprised of me not understanding them at all. The YalongBay area is where the big hotel chains are located….the Hilton pool is very nice, and while swimming in it I could see the sea from one end.
The time went quite quick, but after one day I felt like spending already a week there…..but it was strange to get back home….and it got a bit stressful after arriving at SYX….the flight was ok…however, as it wasn’t a direct flight we stopped in Xiamen… but there was no need to leave the airplane..was quite funny though…..
Here some pictures 三亚
