Birmingham 'n' paintball; 26/01/08 - 27/01/08

Weekendtrip to Birmingham, with Rocky, who 'll leave to China soon, and some of his Ningbo friends who arrived lately.

Saturday.
Went by train to Birgmingham in the morning. Everything tooks longer and was a bit more expensive than expected.
Took cab to paintball-area. The driver didnt got a navi, however he claimed to know everything and if he doesnt know no-one would.
After few calls, and the paintball area was really poorly signed, we arrived. And he dindt charged us for all the amount on the meter.

paintball was great.
6 diferent areas, with different tasks. each 2 rounds.

I dont know if its chinese behaviour not to read instructions, but one of ROckys frineds tried to remove his googles before we arrived the safty-zone. Thereby he was expelled from the game.

After that we took a taxi back to town.
Anyway, the correct adress got lost, and the driver got a wron postcode [the uk postcode eg. NG7 2JR includes not only the area, also the street and sometimes even a small range of numbers, so...]
Anyway, no correct postcode nor street or correct name of hotel.
The driver got really pissed off. He had to phone his operator as he accepted another ride. He said:"Unfortunatly I picke up these chinse people,...."
Anyway, after several calls we finally got to the appartment.
And to my suprise he just charged us for £24, the amount we said we had to pay for the last ride. However, he mentioned just because he has another ride to go to.

The appartment was really great. 3 bedroms, 2 bathes, nice livingroom with tv and ipod docking, and kitchen.
All us as had a shower.

After that we went to china town to meet the others. We had dinner in a chinese restaurant.
Rocky asked also for an english menu, but the owner said that has different meal to the chinese one.
Anyway foo was good, but honestly not all. I really hate to eat crab, as it comes in his shell...
but most food was good.

Then we wen to tesco to buy some drinks and food.
And we spent the evening in the appartment, listening to chinese music and playing sone "chines drinking games"
But NO-ONE got drunk INCLUDING ME [adressed to aki and sg]

Next day we went to city to do some shopping.
Took the train. I was home at about 8pm.

Was a really great weekend. Met some new nice people.
